Kreuzschwestern Europa
Mitte (KEM) GmbH combines all enterprises run by the Holy Cross
Sisters. Its responsibility is the operational management of
the enterprises directly or indirectly owned by the Sisters of
Mercy of the Holy Cross, in central European province. The
intention of the sisters' founders - Pater Theodosius
Florentini and Sister Maria Theresia Scherer - says it all:
abatement of all kinds of human misery by meeting the needs
of our time.
Therefore, they encourage
life with:
- Education and upbringing of children and adolescents
- Care and support for ill and elderly people
- Support and sponsorship for disadvantaged people
- Companionship and pastoral services
These objectives can be
found in all of the Holy Cross Sisters' enterprises and
everybody who is employed in these organisations contributes to
achieve these objectives.
Counting more than 5000
employees in 30 locations and a total of 44 enterprises, KEM
GmbH is one of the largest organisations in the healthcare,
social and educational sector. Additionally, it is possible to
interlink the different services within the enterprises in
order to be able to respond to any need. This represents a
unique alliance between education, healthcare and the social
sector.
